Our favorite temporary removable wallpaper for your home

As you may know from our last post we still love wallpaper. While we do love a permanent wallpaper that needs professional instillation, we also think temporary wallpaper is an amazing way to go.

Not only is it great for the DIY enthusiast who wants to execute a project on their own but it is also great if you are a renter or a student looking to spruce up your place and make it feel less temporary and more like a home.

Unlike traditional wallpaper which is sold in rolls, temporary wallpaper (also known as peel and stick or removable) is sometimes sold in sheets. You then peel the backing and begin applying to the wall. It can take a little practice at first but we find once you get the first sheet on the rest flows pretty smoothly from there.

If you haven’t applied temporary wallpaper before we recommend starting out with a larger print to make matching up edges a little easier and more forgiving. Another tip of ours is to leave some overhang on all sides to make sure you don’t get any gaps as you move down the wall. This can happen because not all walls are perfectly straight and that bit of overhang gives you a buffer.

We love removable wallpaper and decals to add character to a space. When you work with ECI virtually and chose to execute the project on your own we always recommend temporary wallpaper as great way to save while still having a huge impact.
