What does Full Service Design include?

Full Service Design is Elana’s most comprehensive offering, covering everything from initial concept development and space planning through furniture selection, procurement, contractor coordination, and final installation. You’ll have one point of contact from start to finish and won’t need to manage vendors or navigate decisions alone.

What’s the difference between Full Service Design and Consultation Only?

Consultation Only is a great fit if you have a vision or existing plans and want expert guidance to refine or execute them. Full Service Design is for clients who want Elana to manage the entire project end-to-end, from concept through installation.

When in the renovation or build process should I hire a designer?

The earlier the better. When a designer is brought in at the start of a project, you can assemble the right team from day one and make sure that everything the architect designs actually works for how you and your family live. Early involvement also allows for proper space planning, so decisions about electrical and plumbing are made intentionally rather than by default. It’s also the time to incorporate the details that make a home special, custom moldings, built-ins, and other intricate finishes that need to be accounted for before the project goes out to bid. Getting those details into the plans upfront means contractors can price the job accurately, which leads to far fewer budget surprises down the line.

How involved do I need to be in the process?

As involved as you’d like, but Elana’s process is specifically designed for clients who are busy and prefer a streamlined experience. Most clients are consulted at the key decision points without being overwhelmed by day-to-day details.
